The Room

Being 18 and living at home still I have very little say what goes on around the house in decorations and what not, so I personally feel like my bedroom is my little heaven where I can do what I want! Right now I have more blue tack on the walls then paint but that’s the way I like it. I feel wallpaper is too impersonal and by making your own collage on your wall it’s like making your very own wallpaper. I dread the day I move out and I have to take down all of my pictures but let’s just not think about it for now. Yes, that is a one direction calendar and poster and no I am not embarrassed to say I like them, every teenage girl is aloud a boy band crush sometime and this is mine. Most of the pictures on my walls are from magazines but there is the out collection from holidays and birthday cards which really mean something. If you are bored of your old walls I suggest you do the same!  Also add some fairy lights, they are always fun!
My exams are all finished now so I will hopefully have time to do more posts and really get my blog going. From having my exams and not going anywhere I have saved many dollars and I hope to spend it all on a well deserved shopping spree; I will report back on any amazing purchases.

The Shelf

Oh my life exams are killing me. However in the space between reading science books and doing mindless past papers I was able to read a book my mum got about changing your life, one of the key points was too organise your living area. To me my living area is my bedroom which is where I spend about 99.59483% of my time if I am in the house. The area I tried to tackle first was my main make-up and jewellery shelf (it is the second highest shelf on my book shelf) I don’t have a dressing table as I do not have the room, in a future post I will present a picture of my room and you will understand. I rummaged through my cupboards and found a teacup, bead box and a few little tin boxes to put my little jewellery in and I just organised my make-up in to a Ted Baker make-up bag I got for my birthday and all the tubes and bottles were organised into size.

This isn’t all of my make-up and beauty products but in the rush I am in the mornings it is easy for me just to have the essentials and things I use often on my shelf. Other things I do not use as often are in a draw by my desk, just to make my room look tidier. After the struggle of the shelf I am next going to tackle my wardrobe after my exams are done or when I am having a long deserved revision rest.  I have you have found this useful and will organise your living space as well, I know I have only done one part so far but I can already see the benefits.

New Years!

Happy 2012! I hope you all had a great new years celebration like I did, however too much celebration meant was I was unable to work a camera and get any photos so what I painted my nails will have to do. I couldn't decided on a colour I wanted to go into the new year with so I did  selection. I used paints from Miss Sporty (gold), Topshop (green), No 7 (purple and metallic pink), Barry M (blue sprakles) and 17 (clear top coat). All of the colours looked great when I put them on but now a few days on the only one which didn't need any topping up was the Barry M. For the price (£2.99) not much was expected but it has lasted amazing well compared to the No 7 (£7.00 full price but I had a £5 off offer so it only came to £2.99) which I would expect to last the longest.
Back to 6th form tomorrow and I am not happy about it. January just brings exam and more cold weather, so I may not be able to post for a while as I am going to be revising every second I get. I hope you all have a good start to the year!
