Music Review: Jake Bugg

"Jake Bugg" Available to download and buy now

Jake Bugg is probably one of the most controversial artists in the media right now due to his slander against world dominating boy band that is One Direction however it cannot be denied that this boy has talent. When god hit him with the talent stick he hit Jake hard! His sound reminds me of a young Bob Dylan with his soulful lyrics that are all sang from the heart and each verse is relatable. Jake Bugg was raised in Nottingham and after touring countless bars and pubs playing his music he was eventually signed. His debut album, “Jake Bugg”, has to be one the best debut albums I have heard in a long time!  It contains all of his up to date released hits (Lightning Bolt, Two Fingers, Taste It and Seen It All) and 10 more each written by Jake himself. At only 19 years old he has already had a number 1 album, played with the likes of Noel Gallagher and was nominated for a Brit award; even though he did slag the award show off. Personally I love Jake Bugg; in interviews he reminds me of a young Alex Turner in that they don’t really know how to interact or come off well in the interview but there music is outstanding and does all the talking anyway. I have listened to the album all the way through countless times now and even though I do prefer the second half of the album to the first overall I think it is an amazing debut and I can’t wait for more to be released.  If you haven’t already, give the album a listen and you will understand why I am so in love with it. My top two songs are Seen It All and Somebody Told me and I’ll post a link to Seen It All below.  Hope you all enjoy the album as much as I do! Lots of Love Hann xxx
