B&B Surf Spray Bargain Dupe: Charles Worthington Salt Spray

Charles Worthington Salt Srap £0.99 Home Bargains

I am a self-confessed Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray lover but since I am now a student living in London it is not a luxury that I can afford which makes a very sad Hann, however today when I was wandering I found this little beauty in my Home Bargains; a £0.99 Charles Worthington Salt Spray which in other words is a Surf Spray dupe. It is really easy to use as well; all you have to do is spray on to dry/wet hair and dry with a hair drying on a gentle heat to get nice subtle waves. I don’t think it is as good as the Surf Spray but for the price I think it’s amazing and I highly recommend it to any one on a budget.

What do you think about the Surf Spray? What bargains have you found recently?

Dip Dye Fun

Before
After

When I was away playing in the sun my hair decided to go dramatically lighter to a light brown shade which is actually the closest it has been to my natural hair colour in around 5 years! Since the ends of my hair (along with my fringe) were the lightest of it all, creeping upon blonde, I decided to have a little fun and dip dye it. I went to my local Sally’s to explore the colours they had and decided to dry a purple shade as a few years ago I did dip dye the ends a red colour and I wanted to go for something I have never done before; I also only went for a semi-permanent colour just in case it went horrifically wrong. The make I went for was Crazy Colour by Rembow in colour Violette because the sales assistant recommended it and in the samples they had I liked this colour the most; it was £6.49 for the bottle which I thought was pretty reasonable; this dye only had to be left on clean hair for 15-30 minutes before being rinsed off; I left it on the ends of my hair for the full 30 as I wanted it to work to its full capability. I am not disappointment by the results at all but it’s definitely not what I expected to happen. The colour is not as purple as I wanted but instead has just made the ends of my hair a little darker; it’s not black as much it is a grey-blue colour (if that exists).

I am actually really happy with the results as it just adds a subtle difference; to anyone who has never dipped dyed their hair before but are thinking about it I do recommend you try it! At most shops which supply to hair dressers and beauticians you can get a wide variety of hair colours, permanent and semi-permanent so if you are not sure on what you want you can get one that will rinse out and then you can try it again!

What do you think about dip dyed hair? Have you got any advice for a novice like me?

Also I haven't done any music posts in a while so I thought I would add on my favourite of the moment; this is my favourite song by Mumford &Sons and now it also have my favourite video by them. Just watch it...it'll blow your socks off!

Tangled, Hair Care Advice For Long Hair

Oh holy sweet Jesus it’s May?! Where did the last 4 months go?! Gosh. Okay let’s move on from that generic start to a post on the 1st of a month and let’s get started. One of my targets for this year was to grow my hair longer then it has ever been (which isn’t very as the longest it’s been it just below my shoulders) but make sure it was healthy as well. As I am in the pool at least 3 times a week my hair is constantly at battle with chlorine and on top of that I dye my hair so growing it out and keeping it healthy is a tough task. However so far so good, I have been growing it since January and I am happy with where it is! I have used an array of hair care products on it over the last 4 months but I thought I would share with you the products that I have stuck too throughout the process.
So Far So Good!

The first products I have kept constant is the brand of shampoo and conditioner I have been using, Bed Head. A while ago I noticed that B&M Bargains was stocking the big bottles of Bed Head products for only £9.99 a bottle, WOW! I was amazed so I stocked up and I definitely don’t regret it. The only thing is that when I go back to get more they don’t always have the same type in so I have to change it every time I need a refill; at the moment I have Moisture Maniac Moisturizing shampoo and Superstar Conditioner which is said to be for thick massive hair and I love both of them. They keep my hair soft, shiny, strong and on top of that they smell unreal which is always a bonus. I like the conditioner as well because it work wonders in it always seems to give my hair a new lease of life but on top of that you don’t have to leave it in for 4 days for it to work, 3 minutes and then you are done. Fabulous or what? So if you are looking for some new shampoo or conditioner or you are just a Bed Head lover, go check it out and see if a B&M near you have this offer in.
The next thing I have been loving the last few months has been the Aussie Miracle Colour Insurance Leave In Conditioner (phew mouth full) which I actually mentioned previously in a haul post; I got it as part of a deal in Superdrug at the time but I will leave a link to it below if you want to have a look. I love this spray. I normally use it after I have been in the pool just to give it a little extra care and it does absolute wonders. It smells lovely and it just makes my hair more manageable because not only am I going to have long hair but it’s extremely thick as well.  It’s so easy to use as well, all you do is spray into damp hair after washing, comb through then you are done; I highly recommend it especially if you dye your hair like me or put it through as much damage as I do. Damn you chlorine!
The final thing I love which has been raved about all over the internet is hair oil; I currently use the Organic Argan Oil by Arganis Spinosa which I found in TK Maxx, again I have wrote about this in a haul post which I will leave the link to. I love hair oil because you only need to use a little bit and all you do is rub it into either damp or dry hair and Bish bash bosh it’s done. When my hair is wet I rub it in from the middle to the ends of my hair but when it’s dry I tend just to rub a little into the ends after it has been styled and it just helps to hide any split ends. If you have not used hair oil before I highly recommend it and if you don’t want to fork out a fortune on it then don’t worry, most brands have released their own version and you can get a bottle for as little as £5.

If you have any hair care products you would like to recommend to help my hair stay strong and healthy please tell me and I hope this has helped you.
Happy Wednesday/first day of the month kittens! Love Hann xx
