Diamond Boxes

A while back I did a post about cheap storage devices I used for when I first got to university and I didn’t really have the money to buy anything else, I will leave the link here for it. For Christmas though I was spoilt of my momma who bought me some beautiful jewellery boxes as she found me keeping my jewellery in a tin not very lady like and since I am now 20 I should really be using something nicer.
I got two boxes, one a smaller mirrored box with a lid and matching mirrored set of draws with I love so much! One of the best things about them is that the inside of the box and each draw is felt so it gives some protection to the things that are inside. I use the box for my bigger necklaces, they fit in a treat and it’s big enough so that they don’t get all twisted in each other which is one of the biggest pains in the world when you are in a rush! I then have put my rings, earrings and bracelets in each of the draws of the one. For my earrings (the top draw) I placed a smaller box in as well (which I think I got a bracelet in but I can’t really remember) to hold my studs and smaller in earrings in so they don’t go roaming around the draw.

Another amazing thing about these boxes is that since they are just mirrored and not coloured they can fit in to pretty much any room with any decorations. I didn’t ask how much they were as it’s a bit rude to ask how much presents are but I did find out they are from the TU line in Sainsbury’s which I was surprised about as they are so pretty and I have never really had a look at the line. So if you are looking for some jewellery boxes or just a pretty box to put some nic-nacs in then get yourself down to your nearest Sainsbury’s!

Loopy For Hoops

Accessorize
Topshop
If you asked me a year ago what I thought about big gold hoop earrings I would have probably said they were charvy and disgusting but oh how time changes things! I am absolutely in love with hoops earring right now, I don’t know what it is but they are all I am wearing at the moment and I have found myself eyeing up a pair of heart shaped gold hoops in urban outfitters last week. 16 year old Hann would be outraged. I don’t know if it’s the 90’s feel about them or that upon wearing them it gives a strong enough look that no other jewellery is needed but I am obsessed by them.
These are my two favourite pairs of the moment and I am planning to buy more soon. If you want some of your own I recommend going to Topshop, Urban Outfitters and River Island as they have a fabulous collection of these loopy beauties.
How do you feel about big hooped earrings?

The East End Thrift Shop

London is expensive you say? Lies I say! Just round the corner from Mile End tube station is the East End Thrift store; which isn’t really a shop but more a garage which hangs clothes outside but whatever. In this ponderous Aladdin’s cave holds a marvellous collection of second hand coats, jumpers, shorts, dresses and everything you can think of at low prices! Not only that but what makes them unique is there fill a bag for £10 or £20 offer where you get a carrier bag and can fit as much in as you can then only pay the corresponding price for it (the £20 bags are bigger etc.)
When I went I was able to get all of the above in a £10 making each item on £2.50 each; these items include a cardigan, 2 big Christmas jumpers and a massive cosy winter coat. Amazing right?! Personally, the best things they do are jumpers and coats but go along and see what you can find! I will leave their Facebook link down below so you can find it yourself and its open every Saturday and Sunday. If you go along please give me a link to show me what you manage to get, I love being nosey.
Where is your favourite place to shop in London?

Autumn Jewellery Favourites

Hello kittens! Sorry for the lack of posts but I am just getting used to my new timetable and it’s been a wee bit of a hectic week but hopefully from now it’ll calm down a little. On a brighter note its becoming autumn now (inserts happy dance here) and I love autumn so much because it’s so pretty, you can start layering up and its closer to Christmas! Last weekend I was a little naughty and went shopping to stock up on my autumn wardrobe and I managed to get two key jewellery pieces for under £10, mummy Hann would be so proud.
The first thing was this statement necklace from the Next sale; it take me a while to come round to statement necklaces as at first I just thought they were a bit garish and in your face. However over time I was subject to lots of different designs and I was won over completely…except from the price tag; as a bargain hunter I find it hard to spend a lot of on high street jewellery. Then I saw this beauty for £6 in the sale and I just had to have it! I have worn it none stop this week and had so many compliments on it that I am so tempted to buy more. It is fabulous as it can liven up any outfit so easily.
(sorry about the nails guys!)
My next little treat was a couple of midi rings; I have loved midi rings for ages  but again I wasn’t prepared to pay £6 for one as it’s inevitable that I was lose it as I am a mixture of useless and clumsy. Then I found these little gems in Forever 21 for only £1.75 each! What a bargain! They had quite a few designs but I demonstrated some will power and only got two which I absolutely love and haven’t even lost yet.  So if you want some midi rings but are like me and are going to lose them, then head down to Forever 21 and treat yourself.
What jewellery trend have you loved recently?

My Fulberry (Fake Mulberry)

I have never been a huge fan of fake designer products as I have often found them to look TOO fake and a little bit cheap but after my holiday to Thailand all of that changed. I have a friend who frequently visits Asia and her fakes are so good and so realistic, so when I went I just had to have a look for something of my own and boy did I find some gems! I used my will power when it came to shopping and only bought myself one fake bag, many claps for Hann, and I absolutely love it. It is just a small clutch sized fake Mulberry which folds over in the middle; it also has an option of having a handle which I thought was a lovely little extra. It is made of real leather which will hopefully help it last as I do plan too at one point in my life have a real Mulberry back but as I am about to become a student in London I have a feeling it isn’t going to be a for a long time yet…till then I will love my Fulberry. If anyone is going across to Thailand or somewhere is Asia in the near future I do suggest taking a look at the fakes, I only paid 1500 baht (about £30) for this bag and a purse as well which is a good deal I think as they are both real leather.
How do you feel about fake designer goods?

Primarks Flower Power

Flower Headbands - Primark £2.50 each

One of the trends I have absolutely loved this summer has to be the floral crowns, I think they are so pretty and look fabulous with a cute little summer dress but since I will probably not wear it past autumn I wasn’t prepared to pay £20 for one. The caused inner turmoil as I really wanted one for my holidays! Sad Hann. However, then I saw that the beaut that is Sammi from BeautyCrush bought one from Primark…I LOVE PRIMARK! After hearing this I had to go check them out and I was so happy to see what they were like in person; at only £2.50 a headband I just had to buy two. They are obviously not as good quality as the more expensive crowns but for £2.50 I think they are brilliant! They have a stretchy head band round the back so they are easy to wear but when they are on they don’t stretch so that the flowers are really far apart and so that they lose the crown affect (also I have a massive head so this is a massive bonus). Each flower has a little glitter around the petals which adds a nice little sparkle; what’s better than an extra little sparkle? So if you are looking for a cheaper alternative for the flower crowns or just want a nice flower head band for the summer then get yourself down the Primark!

What do you think about the flower crowns?

Lazy Catch Up Day

Top - Topshop  gift
Dress - H&M £7.00 (sale)
Nails - Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Mango £3.99

Guess who has no work today? ME! I am so excited to spend the day catching up with friends who have been on holiday and catching up on blog posts, also as I am away all of August I have planned to set some posts on timer for you guys to be released over the month. Wow that made it sound like they are some sort of caged beast. For now I thought I would share what I am going to wear today, as I don’t plan to leave the house really I am not going to wear any make up to give my skin a well-deserved rest. Outfit wise, it’s still quite warm here so I have chosen to wear something quite lose fitting so I don’t become a sweaty mess; I am actually wearing a dress beneath but I put the top on top just to break up the pattern. On my nails I am wearing my newest colour which I love! I have heard so many good things about the Barry M Gellys but I had never bought one…so yesterday I bought 2 as Superdrug have their 3 for 2 offers on all nail varnishes. What a bargain eh?
How is the weather where you are? Anybody else sick of the heat yet?

PS please excuse the tan lines, I am pale and British so tanning isn’t a thing I do well.

Play Time

TBT, having cuddles with my bunny Milo
This floral playsuit has to be one of my favourite items of clothing, I have had it 2 years now and I still get wear out of it when the sun decides to shine. I purchased it from a small boutique near me in Tynemouth called Ruby & Frank and I think I only paid about £20 (I have the memory of a goldfish so I definitely cannot remember prices from 2 years ago). I love playsuits because they are easy to wear as it takes care of your top and bottom so you don’t have to stress about what else to wear! I normally pair mine up with flip flops, sandals or a pair of converse along with a trusty pair of sunglasses then I am good to go to play in the sun. The only thing I would say is be weary if you are planning to wear it too a festival; I wore mine to T in the Park and having to strip fully when going to the loo in a porta-loo was not the highlight of my weekend. Playsuits are not wee friendly. Wow that sounded weird.

What is your favourite thing to wear in the summer?
